Hear from our FIRE Fellows
We welcomed four City University of New York graduates to our 2023-2025 FIRE Fellowship cohort – Annelies De Jong, Coco Mong, Crystal Ng, and Stephen Jackson. Hear more about their experiences at EDC below.
The fellowship highlighted the importance of cross-departmental collaboration, giving me a holistic understanding of economic development.
When we were given tours to see EDC assets and ongoing construction in the five boroughs, it was eye-opening to see the vast impact EDC has.
The best feature of the fellowship is the multifaceted perspective of having insight into the departments' workflows and participating in department-specific projects and initiatives.
One key lesson I learned is the value of thinking ahead—being proactive creates space to lead, grow, and make a meaningful impact.
