The Union Square Tech Training Center will serve as a hub of NYC’s growing tech economy, which now accounts for nearly 300,000 jobs across the city.

Through the 240K-square-foot, 21-story Center, NYCEDC is investing in tech equity, breaking down traditional barriers in the industry to provide skill-building and job opportunities to diverse and underserved communities—clearing a path for all New Yorkers to thrive in the tech economy.

The goal is to bring all the players in NYC’s tech ecosystem—job seekers, entrepreneurs, social activists, startups, and established companies—under one roof to stimulate innovation, facilitate the exchange of ideas, support the growth of new enterprises, and create accessible pathways to good-paying jobs for communities across the city.

The Center will feature an event space made available at low cost to nonprofits and local community groups. Civic Hall @ Union Square Center is a digital skills training space that will provide New Yorkers from underrepresented communities with free tech training opportunities and job pathways.
