Waterfront Pathways Program Eligibility Application
Increasing opportunities for minority-owned, women-owned, and disadvantaged business enterprises interested in the waterfront and offshore wind industries.
The Program
The NYC Waterfront Pathways Program (“the Program”), will work to counter documented disparities in public procurement by increasing opportunities for minority-owned, women-owned, and disadvantaged business enterprises interested in the waterfront and offshore wind industries. The program will provide necessary training to take part as stakeholders in the next generation of renewable energy and support disadvantaged communities with renewable energy jobs for the future.
Construction managers, contractors, and design firms that meet the criteria below are strongly encouraged to apply for NYC Waterfront Pathways prequalification:
- Have MBE or WBE certification with NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS) or Empire State Development Corp. (ESDC), DBE certification with the US Department of Transportation, or are veteran-owned
- Have been in business for at least three years or a demonstrated ability to perform the work assigned
- Have worked in one or more of the following trades: Able Bodied Seaperson (AB), Shipwrights, Dredge-people, Ironworkers, Carpenters, Dock builders, Millwrights, Vessel Captains, Divers, Welders, Operating Engineers, Maintenance Engineers, Derrickmen and Riggers, Lathers, Electrician, Teamster, Plumber, Concrete Mason, Mason, Electrical Technicians, Laborers, Painters (Bridge, Ship), Machinists, Longshore Workers, Marine Engineers, Pipe/Steamfitters, Surveyors
