Transparency

NYCEDC is committed to developing projects through an open and transparent process to ensure our work is held accountable to all New Yorkers.

In an effort to provide greater transparency and accessibility, NYCEDC is making detailed information publicly available for NYCIDA and Build NYC projects in the following ways:

  • Enabling live and on-demand videocasts and audiocasts of our Board Meetings and Public Hearings
  • Publishing detailed information for projects that will be covered in each upcoming NYCIDA and Build NYC Public Hearing
  • Posting notices and upcoming project documents prior to each NYCIDA and Build NYC Board Meeting and Public Hearing
  • Providing the ability to sign up to receive NYCIDA and Build NYC email notifications and project information prior to hearings

Additionally, and pursuant to City Charter Section 1301(1)(b) Reporting, NYCEDC makes available an annual report that is submitted to the New York City Council, the mayor, the City comptroller, the public advocate, and the borough presidents. This report contains descriptive data on NYCEDC projects, such as the amounts of City assistance provided by NYCEDC to the businesses involved in these projects, estimates of the tax revenues generated by these projects, and current employment figures. NYCEDC also makes financial and public statements and documents as well as funding information for our supported LDCs available to the public.
