The Innovation Industries team advances equitable, sustainable economic growth in our target innovation sectors: life sciences, the green economy, technology, and the creative sectors. This work includes three principal activities:

  • Innovation Spaces and Programs: real estate development, capital projects, tenanting, and financial incentives to advance our innovation sectors including accelerators, incubators, innovation studios, labs, and creative spaces
  • Diverse Entrepreneurship & Workforce: programs to develop our workforce and broaden economic opportunity in our innovation sectors
  • Thought Leadership and Industry Engagement: business development support for startups and high-growth companies in our innovation sectors, thought leadership for NYCEDC and other City agencies on industry perspectives, regulatory reform, conferences and roundtables; and attracting companies in our innovation sectors to NYC
