New York City Economic Development Corporation (“NYCEDC”) is seeking proposals from experienced contractors to perform refrigeration preventative maintenance, repair, and emergency services at the: (1) Brooklyn Wholesale Meat Market, (2) New Essex Street Market, and (3) Moore Street Market (the “Project”).
NYCEDC plans to select a contractor for the Project on the basis of selection criteria stated in the RFP which include but are not limited to: the quality of the proposal, experience of the Project Team identified in the proposal, demonstrated successful experience in performing services similar to those encompassed in the RFP, and the price proposal.
Optional Site Visits
Optional site visits for this procurement will be held on the following times/dates at the associated locations. Those interested in attending should RSVP by e-mail to [email protected] on or before 4:00 PM ET on August 3, 2026, indicating which site visit(s) they are interested in attending. Detailed attendance instructions for each site visit will be emailed the day before each event to those who RSVP’d by the RSVP deadline.
- 1:00 PM ET on August 4, 2026: New Fulton Fish Market, located at 800 Food Center Drive, Bronx
- 4:00 PM ET on August 4, 2026: Brooklyn Wholesale Meat Market, located at 5600 First Avenue, in Brooklyn.
- 10:00 AM ET on August 6, 2026: New Essex Street Market, located at 115 Delancey Street, in Manhattan.
- 4:00 PM ET on August 6, 2026: Moore Street Market, located at 110 Moore Street, in Brooklyn.

Respondents may submit questions and/or request clarifications from NYCEDC no later than 5:00 PM ET on August 12, 2026. Questions regarding the subject matter of this RFP should be directed to [email protected]. Answers to all questions will be posted by August 18, 2026. Questions regarding the subject matter of this RFP will not be accepted after 5:00 PM ET on August 12, 2026, but technical questions pertaining to downloading and submitting proposals to this RFP may be directed to [email protected] on or before August 26, 2026.
