Addendum #1 to this RFP. Respondents to the RFP must sign and attach the addendum to their proposal by the submission due date.
New York City Economic Development Corporation (“NYCEDC”) seeks to develop its infrastructure for “BATWorks”, a premier climate hub located at Brooklyn Army Terminal (“BAT”) in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, to facilitate a “sandbox” creative environment for climate tech companies to advance their innovation and generate economic opportunities for New York City. NYCEDC is pleased to release this request for information (“RFI”), which seeks responses (each, a “Response”) that can inform the use, size, and operations of a potential microgrid for climate innovation at BAT.
Through this RFI, NYCEDC is seeking Responses from parties with expertise pertinent to the development and operations of an islandable, small-scale microgrid capable of piloting and testing emerging climate technologies (each a “Respondent”, collectively, the “Respondents”). NYCEDC anticipates learning from the Responses to this RFI to inform future approaches in connection with establishing a microgrid at BAT. NYCEDC will not select a Respondent following the conclusion of the RFI process.
