AN ARCHITECTURAL FEAT
A marvel of early 20th century engineering designed by renowned architect Cass Gilbert, Brooklyn Army Terminal was revolutionary for the time, introducing the eras largest poured concrete structure and elevator installation. The atrium of Building B was constructed with staggered balconies for simplified cargo loading and unloading and all the buildings onsite were interconnected by third-floor bridges.
