Meet the team driving women’s economic mobility through mentorship, workforce access, and entrepreneurship support.

Diana Franco serves as Vice President of Women.NYC, overseeing the initiative's vision, programming, and partnerships, with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes in workforce participation and entrepreneurship.

She brings more than 15 years of entrepreneurial experience, including serving on the founding teams of three startups. Prior to joining NYCEDC, she led WE NYC at the NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS), expanding citywide support for women entrepreneurs.

The City of New York has honored Ms. Franco's contributions with three awards: Excellence in Public Service, and two inaugural recognitions for Diversity and Inclusion at SBS and for Entrepreneurship at NYCEDC.

Alexandra Martinez serves as Project Manager for Women.NYC, supporting the initiative’s mentorship and community engagement portfolio. She leads The Network and manages advisor relations, programming, and social media strategy to expand access across NYC. With over five years of experience in program management and accessibility-centered work, Alexandra focuses on building inclusive, impact-driven spaces.
