NEW YORK, NY—On Saturday, May 14, 2016, Interior Design Magazine and ICFF named the winners of the inaugural NYCxDESIGN Awards, one of the new initiatives added to the two-week NYCxDESIGN celebration. WXY Architecture + Urban Design, a firm commissioned by the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) and New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, received the Public Space Award for their work on the Rockaway Boardwalk Reconstruction project.
NYCEDC President Maria Torres-Springer issued the following congratulatory statement:

WXY’s unique approach to urban design incorporates community needs, innovative style and resiliency.
