Chinonye Nnajiofor, a student at Columbia University, interned at Genspace, a community biology lab in Brooklyn. Hear how the LifeSci NYC Internship Program prepared her for her post-graduate career through hands-on technical and leadership training.

00:06 [Chinonye Nnajiofor, Intern, Genspace.] My name is Chinonye Nnajiofor. I currently attend Columbia University studying neuroscience, and I'm currently working with Genspace. At Genspace, I'm APM Mentor, so what I do is that I work with the students in the summer program, and I mentor them with their research projects that they're supposed to present at the end of the summer. I also work with them in the lab a lot, like with their lab procedures and their lab safety guidelines.
00:29 New York is growing as a hub for biotech, so I feel like with the opportunities that are coming by, it's always good to network, and the LifeSci Internship Program is a great opportunity for me to network at the events, and also get more opportunities for my future after I graduate. [Music.]
