Jun 12 2024The New York City Economic Development Corporation ("NYCEDC") is seeking a consultant team to manage the construction of the new Science Park and Research Campus ("SPARC") in Kips Bay. The SPARC Kips Bay Project will consist of approximately 756,200 gross square feet of new construction on the site, including: modern academic space for City University of New York, a New York City Public Schools school, vibrant public spaces, a pedestrian bridge, and resiliency infrastructure.
NYCEDC plans to select a consultant on the basis of factors stated in the RFP which include but are not limited to the quality of the proposal, experience of key staff identified in the proposal, experience and quality of any subcontractors proposed, demonstrated successful experience in performing services similar to those encompassed in the RFP, and the proposed fee.
Optional In-Person Info Session
An optional pre-proposal session will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 10:00 AM ET at NYCEDC, 1 Liberty Street, New York, NY 14th floor. Those who wish to attend should RSVP by email to [email protected] on or before June 7, 2024.
Inquiries
Respondents may submit questions and/or request clarifications from NYCEDC no later than 5:00 PM ET on Monday, June 17, 2024. Questions regarding the subject matter of this RFP should be directed to [email protected]. Answers to all questions will be posted by Monday, July 1, 2024. Questions regarding the subject matter of this RFP will not be accepted after 5:00 PM ET on Monday, June 17, 2024, however, technical questions pertaining to downloading and submitting proposals to this RFP may be directed to [email protected] on or before Tuesday, July 16, 2024.

NYCEDC established the Contract Financing Loan Fund programs for Minority, Women and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises interested in working on public construction projects. Contract Financing Loan Fund facilitates financing for short-term mobilization needs such as insurance, payrolls, supplies and equipment. Bidders/subcontractors are strongly encouraged to visit the NYCEDC website at edc.nyc/opportunity-mwdbe to learn more about the program.
